Our test equipment developers work closely together with production. In this way, a test concept for later manufacture can be drawn up in parallel with development and then implemented by the test equipment developers. This means each product can be abundantly tested.
The degree of maturity of a model grows over the development process. For each model phase, a review of the maturity achieved is carried out to guarantee product quality. The individual phases are:
A model: functional model of low maturity, e.g. using 3D-printed components.
B model: functional basic model of high maturity, can be manufactured using auxiliary tools.
C model: fully functional model manufactured using mass-production tools.
We support our customer throughout the entire development process. From the initial idea onwards, we make sure the later product works without error and can be manufactured economically. We carry out studies, develop and produce the first prototypes and transfer these through A/B/C model phases to serial production.
During the entire development process, we constantly refer back to the project goals.

Already during product development, second-source components are considered. This means reaction to developing supply bottlenecks can be swift, allowing components to be switched in good time.
Thanks to our product expertise, we can quality-assess and approve further components, meaning that if supplies run short, delayed shipments can be avoided and significant amounts of time can be saved.
This is ensured through established approval processes (change management) within the company, meaning that every approval is documented and traceable.
Our expert purchasing team also keeps up intensive contact with a large number of suppliers and manufacturers, helping them stay informed of the latest developments on the market and take any necessary measures in good time.
The later errors arise in the development process, the more difficult they are to eliminate, and the more expensive. Through the close networking of hardware and software development, construction, testing and validation, test equipment development and manufacture, one can ensure from the very start of a project that the product can be efficiently manufactured. Quality gates during product development ensure that a review takes place after every development phase and product quality is assured.
Air bubbles in the potting or product can cause significant problems. For example, ignition coils need to be completely saturated. Because of the high voltage, no bubbles may exist here. This requires high-specification plant technology that PRUFREX has in various forms.
Not each product needs to be potted without bubbles. There are parts that are unsuitable for vacuum potting. PRUFREX is also equipped for such requirements and has extensive knowledge of this potting technology.

For mechanical protection, reliable electrical insulation, humidity repulsion and heat dissipation, we use optimised casting resins (polyurethane, epoxy etc.) that are adapted to your customer-specific requirements.
Depending on the product type and environmental conditions, we use vacuum potting or potting in a protective atmosphere.
We ensure material compliance using an environmental management system as per ISO 14001 - Environmental management system . In addition, our QA department carries out regular checks and tests.
Our networked production based on the MES (Manufacturing Execution System) ensures the secure control of our complex production lines and the effective functioning of each production process in interplay with the others. At PRUFREX, every part or component is uniquely identifiable using its serial number.
